Weekend Get Away

This past weekend Daniel had a weekend off of football so we decided it was time to go to the Temple. Our Temple is the Albuquerque NM Temple it is 3 and a half hours away but this time we decided to spend the weekend with Daniels brother and sister in law ( John and Seu) They recently moved to an area close to Cortez here in Colorado, and they live about 4 hours away from Daniel and I, and the Monticello Utah Temple is about 30 min away. It was a Great Weekend!

We got to John and Seus house on friday and we just hung out with the Family. It is so great that we have family that is close by ( well still not very close but closer then 9 or 13 hours) But we really had a great time it was so fun to catch up with them.

After we got out of the Temple we went and ate at a yummy pizza place!

When we were on our way home we came across a ton of sunflower fields. Honestly it was just fields and fields of sunflowers! I love sunflowers.

After we got home from the Temple we all went out to the back and washed and brushed the horses. Im sad to say that I did not really wash and brush. I just get freaked out around horses. Im way to jumpy haha. I wish I was around horses more as a kid.

We had a great weekend and it was great for me to get to know John and Seu better. I hope we can get there more often now, and I love all my nephews and nieces. They are just so funny and cute!

P.S. When we were at the Monticello Temple we were about 1 hour away from MOAB!! I love Moab so much, I wanted to go to Moab so bad. My Grandparents lived in Moab till I was 13. I have so many great memories there and I cant wait to go with Daniel and go to all of the places we would go when we were there to visit. Next Summer we are planning a trip to go to Moab and camping and rafting!!!

Oh one more thing! So with in two days Daniel and I have been pulled over 2 times! Now we were lucky the first time because Daniel mentioned John who is a Special Agent on the Indian reservation in Cortez ( yes Daniel is indeed part Indian even if he does not really look it) But not so lucky the second time. Now I have never gotten a ticket and im known to have a lead foot but looks like Daniel will be known to have the lead foot now, even thought he rarely speeds.
