The East Texas Yamboree

The East Texas Yamboree was this past weekend. This was my first time going to the Yamboree. Daniel has talked about the Yamboree ever since we were dating and it had been six years since Daniel has been able to go to the Yamboree. Now you may ask what is the Yamboree , well it’s a big carnival in Gilmer that they do every year. And it’s a carnival about yams and yam Queens , food, rides and fun . Oh yeah and art shows and they show star Animals like cows and pigs, and last but not least the parades. There is so much more too.

The Yamboree is a big deal here. People close up shop (I had Thursday and Friday off of work), it was fun and Im kind of sad I was not able to go to and see everything. Next year I am for sure going to put some of my art work in the show. I could go on and on about the Yamboree but I will just show you pictures and let them do the talking haha.

Daniel and his turkey leg. They are not to bad actually. Now Daniel had to pull the meat off for me because I did not grow up eating meat off of the bone so it kind of scares me haha.

all of the cows looked really pretty, they clean them up and trim them so they look great!
